  • Die Abkürzung ADTV steht für „Allgemeiner Deutscher Tanzlehrerverband e.V.“
    Die Dachorganisation mit Sitz in Hamburg ist ein Zusammenschluss von ca. 800 Tanzschulen und ca. 2800 Tanzlehrer. Der Verband regelt die Vorgaben der Tanzlehrerprüfungen und den entsprechenden Umfang des Tanzprogramms wie dem des Welttanzprogrammsbestehend aus Standard- und Lateintänzen. Neben dem ADTV gibt es Weitere Tanzverbände wie den BDT. Die Zugehörigkeit einer Tanzschule oder eines Tanzlehrers ein einem Tanzverband stellt allerdings keine Voraussetzung dar.
